Day 01 — Marrakech to Essaouira Mogador
Departure to the former Mogador
Departure to the former Mogador, this port city of 50,000 inhabitants, an old fishing port built on a peninsula swept by winds from the ocean.
La Scala ramparts
Essaouira is enclosed within the walls of the old city. From the high La Scala you have a beautiful view while admiring the bronze cannons that were melted in Spain.
Local craftsmanship
The city is known for its craftsmanship: traditional trawlers worked in teak and eucalyptus wood, cedar inlaid with copper, ebony, lemon wood and silver or pearl details.
Medina of Essaouira
Visit of the Medina of Essaouira (Mogador): a unique medina within peaceful walls built in the 18th century, with right-angled wide roads lined with squat arcades opening onto the souks.
