With this day trip you would discover a famous Berber area which is an old moroccan village with its old Kasbahs and it's also a famous space of many cinematographic productions.
Day 01 — Marrakech to Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah
Taourirt Kasbah, Ouarzazate
Ouarzazate's only real sight of historical interest is the former El Glaoui palace, the Taourirt Kasbah. The el Glaoui clan controlled one of the major southern caravan routes to West Africa and were given extensive power by the French during colonial rule in exchange for keeping the southern tribes subdued. The Kasbah was built in the 19th century and reached the height of importance during the 1930s.
Tizi-n-Tichka Pass — 2260m
Crossing of the High Atlas by one of the most famous passes of Morocco, the Tizi-n-Tichka, at an altitude of 2260 meters, with breathtaking mountain views.
Kasbah Telouat
Visit of a historic place: Kasbah Telouat was once the birthplace of the Pasha of Marrakech. Despite its dubious history, the kasbah is slowly crumbling, but some rooms still give an idea of the abundance of the Pasha's family.
Aït Ben Haddou Ksar
Road via the Ounila valley to Aït Ben Haddou: the famous village (ksar) has been the scenery for many cinema productions (Théo in Sahara, Gladiator, Game of Thrones, Prince of Persia...). Lunch on site and visit of the ksar.
Road back to Marrakech
Road back to Marrakech via the Imini valley. Drop off at your accommodation, end of the trip.
